Heirloom work is self-coloured embroidery in white which replicates what Grandma used to do many years ago by hand i.e. christening gowns, blouses and any fine white work or self-coloured embroidery.

This one-day course will introduce you to:-

Wing needles
Twin Needles
Twin with a wing needle
Inserting lace and many other techniques for self-coloured embroidery

During the morning you will learn how to use the various needles effectively before making a small bolster cushion during the afternoon.

Summer Lingerie Course (Two Days)

Come along to this two day course and create your own touch of luxury. You will be working with silk or cotton lawn, learning the secrets of applying lace, cutting and sewing on the bias, sewing french seams and shoe string straps.

Go home with either a camisole or pair of ‘shorty’ knicks or the complete set, and the knowledge to create a beautiful, luxury gift for you, a family member or friend.

Introduction To Overlockers Workshop (One Day)

Do you have an overlocker - do you only use it to neaten edges? Would you like to know more? This is a one day intensive workshop to help you get the most out of your overlocker.

You will be given a handbook, which has been designed by Cherry especially for this course. Throughout the day you will be guided through the handbook creating samples that can be attached to the notes you make and by the end of the day create a unique reference for your own use. You will be glad you did it!

It is a good idea to bring your own overlocker so that you can familiarise yourself with your own model but there is a small number of overlockers available for use in the class, please be sure to book one when you reserve your place.

Heirloom Quilted Panels Workshop (One To Four Days)

Come and spend a day or a number of days learning and practising techniques that you may have perhaps not tried before; depending on the number of days spent, you will create one or two quilted panels that can go towards making a bed throw.
